Here are some summer tips to keep your windshield in tip top condition:
- Do not put water on your windshield when it's hot outside, the expanding and contracting of the glass can cause fractures off of even the tiniest of pits in your windshield causing a break in a spot that is seemingly harmless, but is still damage enough to break your warranty.
- Do not wash your vehicle if you have a rock chip. If you bring your vehicle in to repair it after you've washed it and there is water in the damaged spot it will be unrepairable until it's completely dry. Depending on the day drying can take hours! Repair your window before you wash it, we don't mind the bugs, promise!
- Keep your windshield wipers up to par even in the summer. Many people run windshield washer fluid on their windows to clean off the bugs unconsciously and don't think it's importand to keep their wipers in good condition. A bad wiper can cause a scratch accross your windshield and place small glares where you don't want them making it hard to see.
